Just wanted to say Thank You from the member at NSWA for giving the Forum a Plug at the Spray Wash/PW Sore Event. Very much appreciated from all of us here at NSWA Thanks Again

I bought this huge dry erase white board last year. I still cant figure out what to use it for? (I'm not the sharpest knife on the shelf). Show some pics, of what you are using yours for. Especially the smaller companies.
So I have recently come across a "New Roof Cleaner" in our area. His whole marketing strategy is : NO SH..None, zero, zilch. Results are 20-30 minutes rather than 6-8 weeks,And not only does he NOT use SH he speaks negativity about using throughout his website, stating they use 'only safe bio-degra...
I had a Good February with the snow plowing and I have been out there washing Roofs and House washing too! Winters are getting warmer around here. Hoping for a really good March to get the season going strong. How are you guy doing here in the NE and around the world
Please don't bash if my questions sound like a newbie, because I'm still learning! I'm a 10-year long landscaper, whom did some power washing on the side. However, I'm now switching to power washing full time. As of right now, I'm only working with a (4) gpm / 4,200 psi machine, 20" surface cleaner, an x...
I know we all get them and I get them to but since I've launch my new site the robo Calls have more than doubled. I got 5 calls yesterday morning and I swear there from the same company. I always request to be removed from there list but I believe the same company called me. I use my cell phone number on all my ad...
How many guys use a chlorine enhancer. I now know alot of guys are mixing certain enhancer's in with there soap. I have never mixed and enhancer in when I batched mixed because I was rumored to kill your mix quickly. I actually bought a bucket of Fresh n Clear a fee years ago to try to boost the mixes early on...
Does anyone have the png or jpeg file for the years 2012 to 2016? I have the 2017. I am having them put on the signs I am making for the sides of the truck. My web guy said the ones on my web site would look like a pin dot. You can't make them bigger without distorting.
I always use Bing Maps for estimating purposes. Well my phone started to ring this past week and I haven't logged on to Bing maps since December. The Birds eye view is gone.
If cant pay cash, I cant afford it. I have been that way a long time. I prob should stay that way. If you took out a loan for 10k, what would you do with it????
Spring is coming fast, so don't forget to check in and help each other out. It's a small group of us who post, a large group who lurk, so remember to come in and keep helping each other as the season kicks in!
I chose to install Airbags instead of an additional leaf spring to help out the suspension on our new truck. We did buy the f350 and it does hold our new skid with out any sign of the suspension sagging. What we found out is that the skid is heavier on the hose reel side (Passenger side) which made the truck l...
The truck is all finished and thanks to my best friend who has a T300 Bobcat. Unfortunately it took him longer to drive to my house than it took to lift the skid from my garage to my truck.. I was going to run all the systems but it actually started to snow. I hope I didn't jinx myself with getting truck ready e...
We are double stacking a 3/4 on top of a 1hp booster pump. The 3/4 is run though the PP and the 1 h is just direct feed from garden hose. I am testing the 3/4 on running a small generator. I will shoot them for some distance testing.
Normally I try to take the snow in stride. Snow plowing is part of our business. But for some reason I'm ready for it to be over. It may be my age or something else but I'm ready for an early spring.
I recently (in October) ran into one of my old college football coaches and he asked me what I was up to. After a nice conversation, I was asked to stop by his house to give him a roof and house cleaning quote. We ended up agreeing on a price and I completed the work later that week. When he came home that e...
Do the absolute best job you can for every client every time. The philosophy has carried me my entire life and brought me to another dream. We finally bought a shop and am able to get all of the trucks inside. As 2018 kicks off to a slow start I'm almost ready to start another build. I can't wait to see what th...
I have never had ladders whistle while driving. I have had ladders on top of my trucks since 1988 and i have never had them whistle or make any noise. However my ladders i have used for the last few years now want to start whistling and making noise. My son complained about it last year near the end of the sea...
Hey guys, I need to purchase a new reel and water hose for maintaining water in the buffer tank. I did read some existing threads but would like to ask for some fresh insight. I don't require a motorized reel just old school hand crank. Please tell me what you recommend these days for: Water hose reel make...
When posting make it easy for others by doing some easy things that make the post better to navigate. 1. When adding pictures by copy/paste, resize them to around 1000 pixels. If they are large they stretch the post out and have to be edited. 2. When when adding a link, highlight the word, phrase or link....
For those who live in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and North Carolina. Sheetz has a fleet card, Business Edge. Discounts and bunch of good features. One that I like is the card is assigned to the truck and the employees get their own pin to use it. No more receipts and everythi...
I usually don't even think about getting things up and running untill the beginning of March or the middle of March. Last year I don't clean my 1st roof until the beginning of April because of late season snow storms. I hope I don't jinx my season by getting ready early. Like I said earlier I don't have any...
A simple post, "About $400 for a years worth of golf course scorecard advertising. Money is tight, business is minimal, would you do it?" How many people can say no? How many actually know it really doesn't work? Sixty-five without counting the sub remarks. Everyone thinks they have to put in their tw...
Last summer I got my first commercial job cleaning out and repairing gutters at a retirement facility. I subbed out a guy to repair the gutters about 50ft worth. It was my first time operating a boom and the same for the gutter guy (he does residential). After about an hour I was getting pretty good at...
