Im not feeling great about the lack of feedback. I kinda feel like Im left holding the bag.

Ed this is your baby. Not to worry I'm in with you on this. If you want post it for the members to see.

It looks ok, but I'm not crazy about it. Seems a bit generic. I thought he was going to do something like he was talking about below? What are your thoughts before he get's to deep into it (time/money). Pay him for his time so far and cut our losses? Ask for something different? Thoughts?
2) Graphically I was thinking something where the stripes of the US flag would transition into looking like a soft water spray.

I'd like to cut our losses. Pay him for his time and get out. Mission abort. I like Art's logos.

I should say, the first one with the flag

I'd much rather sit on the sidelines and complain about whatever Ed comes up with!
Seriously, though... my only problem with the last one is that technically the flag is being flown upside down.

Doug actually reminded me of something... what about dues, dollars, donations, etc. I'd love to financially contribute to the forum. Is there a set dues amount?

Thanks Ray, We have the donations on hold at the moment. We have $430 in Sparklit for the forum. We are paid up for about 3 years. Our current project is the logo and header. When we get that figured out you are welcome to donate to that project. Thanks

Sorry, I just got to see all this. I could go either way. I thought the font from Eds guy was a little odd. Seemed like it could have been a bit more pronounced. I agree with using the acronym.

Here's something different. We just need to throw some designs out there until we get a idea of what we want. There is no need to rush into anything.

Sorry for delayed response. I think Arts is nice, I like he one Keith did, but I don't care for the flag upside down. Keith is awesome. How about something with the spray coming out of the top of the W and dripping on the A in Alliance. I'm just throwing out ideas. This kind of stays with the theme olive Ed wanted with some spray.

I can roll with this. There is still room at the bottom, if something needs to be added.

I think a simple concise logo without the background image would probably be preferable in the long run. For future logo use for different mediums the text should probably be unique in some way and separate from the background image for simplicity. I guess I just said the same thing twice.

Unfortunatly, Sparklit won't let us cash out what was put into the account by member donations. So that will be going towards future payment for the forum down the road. (we are good for a few years and thanks to all the members who donated!)
The logo is out of pocket (Ed's pocket at the moment) but not for long. Here is his paypal account info:
Even though we are not happy with the outcome of the first attempt, let's move on. Art, contact Red and see if he's interested in giving us a few ideas.

Eric this is from a Stock banner. I'm no designer. This is from there inventory of products at vista. I can only do simple stuff. If we pick one of these designs. We would have to buy something from them or they may get pissed for using it.
If we can figure out witch on we like I will work on one in more detail. We can get a banner from them for like $80 or so
Im ready to start accepting donations. You can Paypal to ed@thompsonroofcleaning.com.
