yeah I hear a lot of people use cougers but how comfortable are they and how long do the pads last and how much to replace?
even golf shoes with rubber spikes may be good

Average of about 3-4 roof cleanings. All depends on how dirty and how much mix gets on the pads. Rinse the pads and bottom of shoes after every roof, and they"ll last longer. They are vey comfortable, and about 15$ per set of pads to replace. I'd pay 15$ per roof if I had too, they are that good.

Cougar Paws but only the canvas version. I have a brand new pair of size 12 black cougar paws boots, but the analogy of walking in ski boots was spot on.
The sneaker version is very comfortable.
I walk steep stuff all the time and really have come to trust them.
It is just very good to remember you are somewhere you could not get without them, so do not forget they are the only reason you are still up there not free falling
For general purposes we have come to love the Rugged Shark Boots we get from shoebuy.com. they are designed for walking decks on fishing boats.

Crocs for everything, stick like glue. Not typical crocs commercial crocs for many years and many roofs. We vent sides with a hole punch.

Snow builds up under the toes in PA spring roof season...
That's what I'm talking about lol. I prefer not to get up there lol. You'll find me at the gutter line or on the ground.
