We use them and as others have stated, the tighter pattern gives a few more feet. With my handy 6 foot extension, we very seldom have to go up a ladder. In PA many properties have a basement level garage entry so those gable peaks get pretty high up.
We have been successful with the tips for the most part.
The other very simple tip we use is I have a very light aluminum 3 step ladder that we use for accessing the truck bed, and it gives me a quick way to gain a couple more feet of distance when shooting peaks. Combined with the tips we bees gettin up there!

For anybody on the fence about purchasing a shooter tip here is a photo of our new employee using it to reach a third story fascia on a lake front resort. The wind was rolling off of the lake over the rear of the building. This shooter tip saved time and did a more thorough rinse.
Hank
Ps...I understand Ryan Wilkins of Beacon Roof Cleaning is manufacturing them as well.

I've been using my new tip but I'm not really sure if it's getting me more distance. Maybe a couple of feet more.

I've been using them since last season and I like them. They work good and you know witch tip is witch on your J rod without looking. Shooter, Fan Soap, Zero Pressure, and 40 pressure. Makes thing just a little easier when washing a house or roof.
