+1 John
Not only will poly hold up to SH far better but you can get lightweight moisture wicking "cool" clothing for hot weather

I prefer the blue Dickies uniform pants,.they hold up excellent to bleach and look better than the white after a few jobs. And I never wear shorts,.I know many do,.but I prefer more protection than they provide.

You can do it, Art!
I have the white pants, and the shorts. They get dirty, but I like the way the uniform looks and I love all the pockets. White pants and the shirts are navy blue (100% cotton). The shirts stay perfect. They don't bleach, dry super fast, and are comfortable even on a 94 degree day like today.

Keep in mind,.that here is the North where SH cost more than down South,..you could get a 5 gallon bucket of 12.5% for about $20.00 with maybe a $1.00 worth of soap added and likely have just as good,.or likely better product. And where you're at the cost is likely better than my cost? Those savings add up once over the course of many, many buckets. I just wonder what the concentration of SH is in that mix?
EDIT: Well if nothing else,.the 55 is a way better deal than the 5 gallon. Jeff

Anita, in NC, you ought to be able to find 55 gallons for around $125+tax. That's what I pay here in TN and also what my friends in Upstate SC pay. You're so close to us that I bet you'll find it comparable.

Hey Bryan,.I thought her price sounded high for her area also? I wonder if she got the price before the deposit. I pay $246.00 for 53 gallons at Univar,..but then the barrel has a $25.00 deposit, bringing it to $221.00

It's all relative to location. Us in the North pay more,..but I think we get more per job in many cases due to lack of options for the general public. In the Southern states there's PW business's are a dime a dozen,..the command for pricing isn't the same. So it's all relative.

Ok i just got off the phone calling every pool Supplier and Sherwin Williams in the local area. Nobody else even has it for sale in 55 gallon drums. So I guess I'm stuck with the 175.00 that I'm paying. That's still better than 4.00 a gallon for 8% clorox.

$2.05 for 500 gallons to our Univar Bulk Storage Tank
They charge a surcharge for fuel... $70.00
My daughter had dealings with a rep when she was in the gas and oil industry and she got them to move off $2.99 which was all they would give me.
With that savings alone we have paid for our Pro Portioner. Then, the fact we use so much less SH means even more savings per job which means better profits
