Absolutely Ray, I get calls from local numbers all the time. They buy out local numbers to get through.

I just pulled this off the net. It may help a little.
The Do Not Call Registry accepts registrations from both cell phones and land lines. To register by telephone, call 1-888-382-1222 (TTY: 1-866-290-4236). You must call from the phone number that you want to register. To register online (donotcall.gov), you will have to respond to a confirmation email.
This is a list of the top 10 free apps as of this month
There's some good timing. If it works, it's definitely worth it.

I wonder if it really works that good
I installed it on my phone. Haven't got a spam call yet. They must have a data base of spam callers. They also check your contacts so they don't get blocked and keep keep all the blocked calls on your phone and mark them as spam. You get one week free and can cancel at any time. If your going to do it, now would be the time during slow season.

If they are rerouting the number and it shows up local, from an actual working local number, is that number blocked? I'm curious and can't find an answer. I'd hate to see just one customer not get through and get a bot.

I still use whos call. Yesterday a bunch of calls from a number with only 6 digits? I blocked it with whos call.
That's actually a good point.
These guys are good! I might have to do some stuff like this when it comes into the office.
SOLD!!!
