Oh,ok,...sorry about that, I can't see the motors on the reels. Are you planning on charging the battery for the reels from the truck? I suppose you could just use the truck battery if the wire is gauged properly and the reels are the only 12v things running?

Pw is mounted. This was a last minute decision to put it here. I figure if I want to add a 2nd unit at some point I can. It was originally going on other side of truck.
Have to go get a compressor while I'm waiting on everything else to come in. Should start wiring everything while I'm waiting.

Jeff. There is going to be a seperate battery or 2 for equipment. I picked up a underbody box and had planned on putting them in there but the box is a touch to big and I would have to modify something to get it to fit correctly.
I really would like to be able to charge it from the trucks alternator. I need to look Into this but I believe it's as simple as running a positive cable from alternator to battery or battery switch to isolate and run a ground.
I also plan installing some sort of terminal block for all the electronics to connect to PW, 3 hose reels, compressor, lighting etc.

I saw the elbow in the PW exhaust. Are you running that through the bed? That really makes things quieter! I used flexible exhaust pipe I got at NAPA. I had a flange made to bolt to the floor and put the flex pipe between the muffler and flange.

Erik. On the motor. Check the water intake. There’s a black fitting that you can tighten by hand. It restricts Remove it.

Erik,..is that the Flex-Tech? I ended up ordering from PWP. My initial thoughts is it's seemingly lighter and very manageable,..much more than my last round of Kuri-Tec. The first few rounds of Kuri-Tec were fine,..but this last round was bad from the beginning to the end. Seemed to kink and coil very badly. I'm hoping the Flex-Tech will fit the bill,...When I uncoiled it out of the box, it laid down very nicely,..wasn't showing memory at all. I remember the last round of Kuri-Tec,..it was very unruly trying to get it uncoiled.
I think what may have happened with the Kuri-Tec this time is this: I think I likely received the last section of hose that comes on the bulk spool,..and is wrapped in tighter coils than when you get hose from the "top" of the spool?? In my mind this makes sense,.but,..doesn't mean it's correct.
*Would also be nice if it doesn't fade as quickly as the Kuri-Tec. Always ends up pink,..remedied short term by switching ends, Ha, Ha,..

Erik,..I just noticed your aluminum flatbed,...I see the mudflap: Martin Truck Bodies and looks like Martinsburg, Pa. Did you have to go that far from home to get a custom bed made?

Jeff, yeah it's a martin bed and I'm very happy with it so far. Art found a place here on the Island that sells and installs them. I was thinking I would have to take the trip out your way to get it. If you are thinking about getting one at some point I think they said they can do it in 1 day.
I was able to get the flat plating for the floor instead of the extruded stuff. I had 1 seam which I had welded to keep anything from dripping on the drive train.
That is the flextech RT. 250ft 1/2"
In the house where it is warm the hose seems super flexible. It also seems very light. Although supposedly it's only like 10lbs on 250ft. 20% lighter?
When i took the kuri tech off the hose reel it was cold and it was basically a spring laying on the lawn. Def not a great cold weather hose but did the trick for many years.

Cant wait to get this completed. And test everything. So many trips to lowes, depot and ordering stuff online. So many fittings I'm having dreams of finding the right ones.
Will all be worth it this season. Plus the learning experience will be huge even for a already handy person.
I have a 12 gallon fuel cell that need to install. Location in picture is wrong. To close to exhaust. Going to move it to the driver side back corner.
I going to work on straps for tank tomm.
And I need to figure out battery placement and container ti hold it. Very close to end!!
I'm curious... how did you mount the mixing valves?

Erik on your muffler you can get a 90 degree elbow from envirospec and then there is another peace that diverts it again. I will shot you a pic later on

It started raining so I was rushing but got the straps done. Going to pull them back off, add 2 fasteners at each spot (in stainless) and trim sa d the rough edges. $42 in parts and about 45 minutes. Sure beats the $250 each that is available w the tank.
Pretty much ready to test everything. Waiting for a warmer stretch of days.
I know it's too late at this point but even with the exhaust elbow, I wouldn't want it anywhere near the tank, especially the fill port. When I got the same PW I ordered a different exhaust with an outlet on the other end and sold the one that came on the unit on Ebay. They also have exhausts that come out of the center.
