They called yesterday and said the hose is currently unavailable. I wish they would put that on the website.
*Brett,...what about the Dragon Flex was wearing out so fast? You mean the cover? Mines not a year old yet so I guess maybe mine will also? I like the toughness of the (2) wire but it's heavy and stiff,..at least it used to be a million years ago when I last used it.

I just bought the hose from Home Depot. I think I paid like $259.15 with tax for 200" of hose. It works well but by the end of the Season it will start to wear. Then I repair it twice and it gets shit caned

We use 5.5 and 6.5 gpm pressure washers. Maybe it the commercial work we do dragging hose on sidewalks and parking lots.

Most of my work is residential,..pulling mostly through grass. But the cover wearing thin shouldn't make the hoses blow out. I have an extra 200' section if needed,..just seems it's getting harder to find 200' pieces. I know many use 150',..and add when needed,..or two 100' sections,...but I don't like that big lump on the reel. Hoses are like everything else it seems,..price goes up while quality goes down.

I think it's a combination of two things. One wire and the outer jacket getting worn and now the wire is exposes and dragging as well. We have had it bust in areas with little wear as well as areas with a lot of wear. Both hoses I bought didn't last like the quality 2 wire hose I buy.
Yes, it really is getting harder to find 200'. One plus for having 100' on the real with extra 100' & 50' on the truck is when a hose breaks, we don't lose the use of 200'. Easy fix in the field with the extra hose. When working and we need more hose we just pull it off the wall. We've tried just about everything and this has worked the best for us.
Cheaper is seldom the best way to go. A better price for something that works and has proved its worth, is another thing. I won't buy this hose again.

Brett,...You sure was right about the outer cover on the Dragon Flex. I noticed today I can see the wire. Not even a year old,.... I have a new piece on my rig if begins to get to bad.

We get a really good hose from ACR Products. It has a course outer shell and is two wire. Unfortunately, they only sell 50' and 100' hoses. Yes it costs more, but it outlasts the cheap stuff. I've been getting it from them for at least five years, maybe longer. I always put this hose on the reels with cheaper stuff on the rack (50' & 100') when we need to add hose. The hose on the reel gets the most abuse and will give us a year or more of service.

Garbage Dragon Flex hose from the The Powerwash store blew today,..not even a year old,..still no surprise..They shouldn't even be pedaling that cheap ass hose. I thought they catered to the professional.
Had a new piece of the Goodyear Continental hose I've used in the past,.... and changed it in the field,..was the best case scenario,..was doing a State Farm office,.(actually a house converted into an office),....Open parling lot for stretching out the new hose.
The 200' hose posted is out of stock. I also added on Square Trade warranty to see what happens when I make a claim. It's two years. I read everything so I'll see what happened when the hose blows in less than two years!

I can't find anywhere whether it's one or two wire. All it says is, Dual-braided construction of steel over polyester. I looked on the Simpson site for more information but there was nothing more than what HD had.
I will never by single wire again. The Lowe's hose was a complete waste of money and might work okay for the occasional use of a home owner.
