Came across this job today. Its a 12 year old metal roof, green in color. The house has an addition on the left hand side that shows the color of the roof and newer metal that is still the original color. The light, puke green color is oxidation. There is still plenty of color left under the this, just need an effective and timely way to remove it.
I was considering a 20% mix of f-13 gutter grenade, then lots of rinsing with the booster pump. Anyone else have ideas or come across a situation like this before?
Whoa Nellie, that's bad. Eaco chem has a product that's called britenol that is supposed to be great and easy to use...I have never tried it but heard about a couple guys that have.

I suggest you run away. Amazes me how people will let someone come to their home on a regular basis and walk around spraying their grass, leaving a $58 bill and drive away, The grass looks the same when they leave as it does when they arrived.
Yet they let their roof get in that shape or live in a home covered in mildew, dirt an cobwebs.
You probably know this but it will take hard tedius scrubbing to change the color with no promise it will be as green as the new.
I have found most people will not pay what it's worth. I won't clean them.
Good luck if you decide to do it.

I know this post is 7 years old.... and i saw that someone suggested HD Britenol, which does great on cleaning metal doesnt do much for the oxidation... for the Oxidation, Cleansol BC would be the one to test.
This may help someone that may come into this problem in the near future.
