I just received my new water hose and I'm impressed right out of the box. The box as delivered yesterday and it sat outside in the cold NH air and as soon as I opened the box I was S/Hed the hose was still flexable. The claim to fame about this hose is that it is light weight and flexible and it lives up to its name.

Hey Tony,..the Mean Green hose has ties to the old RCIA board. There was a handful of guys that was using it for their roof cleaning hose,..always said it worked good I guess. Never used it myself.
Tony that is the one I got except in the blue color

Are these hoses used only for water plants, or do/can you spray chem through them too??

Hey Doug, this is the hose Chris Tucker and many others were using years ago for applying their mix. But, then,..I think it was Lori from PWP that came on the scene and started selling the Kuri-Tec hose for cheaper,...and the Kuri-Tec is a great roof cleaning hose. So the Mean Green kinda' faded away.
Actually maybe Dave from the old RCIA board had mentioned the Kuri-Tec first,..not sure about that though,..I do know though that he introduced the All-Flo pump way before Lori started posting.
Alot of people didn't like Dave,..but I'll tell you this,..he was way ahead of the game and was a big benefit to alot of guys back then. I actually didn't like him at first,..but his long winded posts were backed up with VERY good information. We spoke a few times on the phone, and I gained a different outlook on the guy.

I'm only using mine for water supply to my water tanks . I would never run chemical through a garden hose, and I don't know how long they would last. I went for this style hose because of the flexibility in colder weather and the light weight.

Most garden hoses will handle the chemical with no problem,..the problem with garden hose, it isn't made strong enough to handle the pressure. When roof cleaning started becoming a mainstream topic,..many of us were using were using garden hose successfully without issues,..it will work if you need to use it. But,..whenever you load garden hose up with pressure and it swells up and looks like it could explode any second,..and kill somebodies grass,......you'll see why everyone moved on,Ha,Ha,Ha,...
*I still have and use some of the old garden hoses I used as roof cleaning hose. Plain old Gilmour hose. I also have some 500 PSI hose I bought for roof cleaning years ago as well,..but never used it,...I moved onto something else. 1/2" air hose I think. But the Kuri-Tek is a great and economical hose for us roof cleaner types.

I agree with Jeff as in, I never had an issue with garden hose. I used the same 5/8" hose for 2 years before I switched to 1/2" poly braid. The only reason I switched was because I couldn't stand that the connections kept getting caught up on the edge of the roof shingles that had no gutters. Now I have 225' of 1/2" poly with no fittings/connections to get caught up on anything. I lost a minimal amount of pressure/distance but retained a lot of skin when rolling it back on the real without two or three connections!
