Can I use straight 30 weight oil in my PW pump or does it have to be Power Washer pump oil?

Hey Art, I've used 5w-30 automotive oil years ago with no issues. For the last few years I've used 5w-30 Mobil 1 synthetic,..probably doesn't make a difference,..but for just a few dollars more and a whole season of washing it's not much extra money. I usually change my oil every Spring and just keep an eye on it from there.

Are you talking about the oil in the "crank case"or seperate oil in the water pump? I don't know anything about it but I assume there is a seperate "water pump"

I think I'm going to stick with the Cat oil from HD. It cost more but I trust it.

No,.any auto oil will work Art. Non detergent is irrelevant these days. But really,..it's all cost effective so do as you please.

Used the 30 weight oil. Went back to 4 cycle oil. Holds up better.
