I bought this Harbor Freight compressor at the end of the season last year. It was on sale $399.99 and 2yr extended warranty fot $199.99. I had small leek coming from the regulator and it was an internal seal. All i wanted was for them to give me a new regulator and that would be a quick fix. Manager said the warranty states to swap out old compressor for a brand new one no questions asked. So i unbolted the old one and they gave me a brand new one and it includes the rest of my warranty. So if i have any problems. In the bext 1-1\2 yr i get a brand new one. I thanked manager but told him it would have been easier to just give me a new regulator because the compressor is bolted in and the exhuast is welded and piped through the floor. He appologized for my inconvience but said he has to follow the terms of the warranty. I will always go back to thus store and the compressor is a great compressor even though it was cheap.

A couple of years ago I purchased a smaller air compressor from Harbor Freight. It's not for roof cleaning but just for the garage. So far so good.

I am at war with Harbor frieght! I bought a pump there for like $125 went to use it two months later it didnt work.They wouldn't take it back without a reciept...I said here run the card I used to buy it. They said they couldn't do that...but if I had purchased the extended warrenty then they could do it. I had to get Amex involved to get my money back....I will just go to lowes of Home depot for now one...learned a lesson.

When dealing with harbor freight, always get the warranty...always......always!

Hey Brian, I think I would have just bought the new regulator out of pocket, rather than tear down and re-install. Yea, I like Harbor Freight, just gotta know what you're buying.

Manager offered me a free regulator but If I installed it the warranty would be voided. Not worth losing 2yr warranty and the swap out took less than and hour.
