Looked over the job site- 4 courts each side of building with a new drainage system against 1 wall with 2 pump pits
They didn't want to go for the surface cleaner pricing so we agreed to downstream a light application and rinse everything towards the drains for a lower number- still was a good price for me
2 guys 2 days i was figuring at most which would allow for any touch ups afterwards on areas we needed to hit again
So we setup. start and everything is going as planned but i notice the water isnt draining towards the back wall as it should
The courts turned out to be totally un level, the drains were put against the wrong wall and were pushing water towards them only to have it run back at us. Leaving lakes of water all over to have to be vacuumed up and squeegeed to the drains- in some areas 75 feet plus
i brought a 3rd guy in and we completed the job in 3 days instead of 2- Place looks great but tough getting there
Needless to say i assumed the courts were level- even the owner couldn't believe how un level they are.
ouch! Can't tell you how many garages I've been in and made the same assumption about drainage..only to be proven wrong!!!!!

8 courts to surface clean i priced him at $4300
to rinse/wand without which i thought would be easier/quicker- $2250
If things went right 1.5 days 2 guys
Where would you be?

That's a good question. I can't answer it because we've never cleaned any courts. How about you other guys?
BTW, nice work Mike!

typical court takes us about 1 hour to do so times that by 8 then add at least 1/2 hour per court for pushing water.

Perhaps on jobs similar to this, include a disclaimer that the floors do slope towards the drain as the owner claims and if not, there will be an extra charge for pushing the water upstream.

agree
Greg thats what i figured 2 guys 1 day- maybe a 1/2 day the following day for any touch ups
if i had to vacuum it would've drove the price up but i would've been under 7k
