My friend and employee Steve Kosko had to have emergency heart surgery after collapsing. Here is a guy who stood by me through thick and thin. I would like to ask others to say a prayer for him and his family.

Steve's surgery was successful and he will be a guest of our local hospital for at least the rest of this week. The doctor's told him he will be out of commission for at least twelve weeks or more.
When I went to visit him he yelled at me for not working and I'd better interview a temporary replacement until he's back on his feet.
What a trooper.

Pat,
Steve, like my late wife(Rocky), has dilated cardiomyopathy. DCM is a condition in which the heart becomes weakened and enlarged and cannot pump blood efficiently. The decreased heart function can affect the lungs, liver, and other body systems. The doctors installed a defibrillator. His heart was only at 23%. Steve might be permanently disabled from what he learned today. Here is a guy who at 56 years old, weighs 170lbs at 5' 10", could put up a 32 foot ladder by himself, ate healthy, never smoked and drank a gallon of water daily. He did everything right and is the complete opposite of me.

god bless him hank! and prayers go out.
It sucks that those that live the healthiest lifestyles can sometimes be inflicted by the worst.
Hire someone as an "intern" or day by day so theres no legal commtment.

Pat,
He's home now and frustrated that he can't do anything. His just started an 1300 sq ft addition to his home, which will now have to wait. Winter is coming and no more chopping wood for the wood stove(he heats his 4000 sq ft home with wood). He can't even walk his dog on his property. Thank god he has a great wife and two adult children who can help him out.
