Don't do it.....I'm all for coming up with something new and I did buy a foam gun.....then upgraded to the tank and gun.
SH does not foam very easy at all. It requires a ton of soap and then it wont shoot very far. After that you need to deal with the LARGE amount of fine mist going everywhere......including on you.....not to mention surrounding trees.
Now top that off with only using it in zero wind as foam "floats".
I have a foam unit I paid like $250(+/-) for and would gladly sell it to you for $100 and a Jack/Coke (I don't drink but when I do I prefer Jack!)

But if you do want to try it I would recommend getting something like an AFFF as a foaming additive. That stands for aqueous film forming foam, Andis what firefighters use for airport fires. It makes a rich dance almost shaving cream like foam. I can put about 3/4 of A cup in my foamer and have plenty of foam to shoot a 16' x 4' exhaust hood.
How do you make this gun work. Is there a specail soap you put in the gun. Sorry for the way the post came out.
