Creosote on Dryvit

How would I go about getting Creosote off a dryvit chiminey. Home owner says Easy Off Oven spray works

Sodium hydroxide. It's a de greaser. AC'S terra wash should work too but I would use the hydroxide at 12 ounces to 1 gallon of water.
