On a small job for an old customer. I mean the house dates back to 1740 and owners are descendants of Sam Adams, but I digress.
First there's a 4 man team cleaning gutters one day, we're painting and lite construction, now 2 guys called B!ue-sky blah blah blah shows up to clean the one side of the garage measuring 20x10(just the shingles)=200 sq ft what's wrong? Its a 30-40 min drive each way, spraying on some weak ass stuff non SH supposedly (prob sodium O-Phenylphenate)
second takes a full hr for them to set up, hook up a PW with a surface cleaner, 2hrs cleaning, 1 hr clean up, and another 1/2 hr travel back.
.5 hr travel to, 1hr setup, 2hr cleaning, 1hr clean up,.5 travel back, .5 lunch, oh and chems and $700 possible new pump x2 guys = 11hrs+equipment depreciation all for $200/250!
I would of had it done in 15/30 mins for that price.
But heres the kicker: water pressure there is low, big machine and they hook a standard garden hose up to... 2! of those cheap expanding hoses with a 1/4 diameter inner tube and they are all knotted up!
If they didn't burn out their pump yet, I'm sure its on the way to the ER!
I wasn't there for the actual cleaning but im sure the surface cleaner was struggling, you need adequate volume in to get pressure out and turn that thing AND not to burn the pump .
And of course website states NO PRESSURE, No harmful chemicals like bleach (yes sodium O-Phenylphenate is TOXIC) and more bullsh!t.
Well I guess some people can sell cow patties and call them a hamburger, but I'll take the butchers word when he says they're not!
Mmmm, I'll have ketchup on mine!

Pat the company is in Plainview I think. I truly wanted to educate them but they are just minions of the corp. Company, wouldn't do any good. If it was a sole propietor that would listen to a better way that's one thing but hiring ignorance and not up training them on equipment is an exercise in futility!
