I don't have a facebook page for my cleaning business (haven't started yet), but have done GREAT with it in my guitar repair business. The key is getting likes, which usually requires facebook ads for a while, then keeping content coming several times a week. If I were you, I wouldn't think of it as an online brochure (like your website), but try to engage conversation and build community with the facebook page. I would post as many before/after photos you think will get likes and pay to boost the ones that are really impressive. Any opportunity you have to start conversations will help.
I also have a wordpress site for my website and use a plugin called "custom facebook feed pro" that pulls the facebook photos to my website. I can't prove it, but I think this is the reason my Google presence has gotten so strong...the plugin creates links on my website back to my facebook page on every photo. (parrisguitars.com and facebook.com/parrisguitars if you want to see what I'm talking about. No I idea how this will translate to a cleaning business, but guitar guys love looking at the stuff I'm working on.

Thanks Bryan... the reason is from what I have seen at the home shows and the apartment association shows I have done. Way too many read one line, Blue Ridge Roof Cleaning. Once they pass that 12' space they are gone for good. I can't tell you the ones that I hear say... roof cleaning as they walk on. I added a tag line but people today are always in a hurry. We do so much more than roof cleaning and the name change will get more to stop and look. I have talked to many in the industry as well as those who are repeat customers. Everyone has given the thumbs up so I started to make the changes months ago but didn't start the hard work until now.
Thanks for the other information.

Done Brett! I'll post mine here too for the heck of it :)
Changing my name, by the way, after lots of great advice from many of you. Just got my EIN and my name registered with the Secretary of State. It's coming together, finally. Next is biz license and insurance.

went and liked the rest of you. please like ours if you haven't done so already
For those like me, needing to create a Facebook URL, here's how to do that:
1) Make sure you are logged into facebook and go to your page.
2) Click "About" (just below your cover photo)
3) Then click "Page Info" on the left side of the page
4) The fourth line on that page says "Facebook Web Address", Click "Enter a Facebook Web Address."
5) If you have 25 likes, it'll let you choose a custom URL, like facebook.com/yourname.
With the name change, I started a new FB page that I keep tweaking a little more each day. Any new likes will be greatly appreciated.
