Hello gentlemen. Name is Nick. I have recently come across the softwash method of cleaning roofs and exteriors. I have been consumed any researching, and am currently working on putting together a service company. I have been roofing for the past 16 years. I'm ready to dive into self employment. First as a weekend supplement, then hopefully can muster enough work to go full time. I look forward to meeting you all, and gaining some useful knowledge

Hey Nick. Welcome. I'm a new guy too and our stories are similar. I was in and out of roof installation for about 15 years...then worked as an estimator/project manager for a large roofing company once I got tired of hauling shingles. Got the idea of cleaning roofs, but didn't know how to do it, so I'm glad to have found the forums. I'm way behind my goals of getting started already...everything is harder than it seems but I'll get there soon. You should have plenty of work in Florida. Good luck!

Nick,
Welcome aboard. The best advice I've ever got when I first started exterior cleaning was read, keep notes and always keep your phone glued to your butt.

thanks everyone.
yes bryan, currently iam superintendant of a roofing company. i dont have to kill myself anymore and money is good, job is secure. i just want to moe on to bigger things for myself. There is plenty of black roofs down here in Florida. I see softwash seems to do well in Tampa, Jacksonville and other areas. There is currently no company within 60 miles of me that i have found as of yet. so i hope to get it rolling and capitalize on this idea.
hank i have been doing just that so far. i am pretty set on spending some money to have a nice reliable set up. i know they can be built fairly cheap, but ti think the dual pump setup from powerwashstore looks pretty good. and im just going to go ahead and add the proportioner.it looks like a no-brainer.
