My pressure washers nuts, bolts, choke assembly and tools corrode very badly in my box truck. Any suggestion on a chemical to clean it? Thought about trying F9
Nothing more than a thought here but I was thinking about buying a spray on wax of some sort to coat and protect......not sure if it would work.

A Box truck with SH and a closed door can do a number on those parts.
We purschase about 5 cans of "WD-40" and keep them handy. At the end of each week or more we spray them down. It works pretty good.
There's also W-D40 with Silicone which we just switched over to. Just a quick shot and your good!

Pretty much what Nick says. We are going into our 4th year using a box truck and needed to solve this problem within the first few months. One thing I did was install extra ventilation (I'll search and post later). I tried all sorts of lubrication and found Rustolium Rust Inhibitor to work the best. I spray just about everything that can be a problem and spray all the quick connects as well to make them last. When it comes to the door, all the wheels and tracks get white lithium grease.

Here are the vents I added to the front right and left bottom of the box to get more air movement.
Wd-40 after every use my equipment looks brand new.

Paint is your friend,..I paint everything:,..tools,..nuts&bolts, ball valves,..etc,..,..paint protects for the long haul better than anything else with less effort. Paint is more of a plastic type coating and although the SH and acids attack the paint,..it's pretty resilient,..and is easily re-coated at some point when needed. In fact,.I usually only re-coat due to cosmetics. And believe it or not,.the cheap Walmart spray paint is pretty decent and seems to hold up well. I paint my PVC ball valves also,..for one they look better,..and two,..it keeps the Suns UV from making them brittle.
*Anyone that's been around the last several years know I've mentioned this numerous times.

I tend not to use wd40 inside quick connects as the petroleum distillates can dry out the rubber o rings etc. Silicone based better, throat seal (silicone ) non aerosol better yet. Brett, I was thinking of venting with fans as well, I would just vent inwards so as not to draw fumes thru the fan and corrode the motor faster, top vent (no fan) for exhaust All good info!
Doug, I've been using spray wax more and more for protecting metal from corrosion, good call. Arts find looks good, gonna research it, may be better alternative.
