I took a class at my chamber of commerce from someone that does social media and she spent a lot of time on it. We are going to implement this for roof cleaning. The main gist was to not use the boost button. There is another way to create campaigns and be very targeted. My son will be setting it up. It looks like it can be very targeted. 20% or less text on the ad. She said that when you do a regular post, only 12% of friends list will see it, so you have to do the paid advertising. She also says a large number of friends is not important. You only need about 200 for credibility.

I haven't done this for cleaning, but I used targeted ads for my other business in the beginning. It worked great. It's easier though with my page since it's guitar repair business and caters to enthusiasts. Guys want to like my page because they like the cool photos I post. I picked a 50 mile radius, targeted a demographic. I didn't target those who like my page, but friends of those who like my page. That way they got a post on their feed that says "_____ likes this page" That adds some credibility too. You can pick key words and target people who like certain things. In my case it was "those who like Gibson guitars..." or "those who like bluegrass music". I always set my budget to $60 per month. I figured one job would pay the ad. I don't do ads anymore, but I have boosted a few posts. I've also done a coupon and boosted it. It worked great too.

I havent done any boosts on FB since December. We get a share once a week or so, A page like almost every week. Page views almost every day. I havent done a boost for a month.
