I've been on 2 leads in the last week where the customer told me that the other company was going to spray the roof and come back in a few days and rinse the moss and lichen off. Must be a Wash Safe product or a new way of cleaning the roof. We have a bunch of new roof cleaners around here doing all kind of roof cleaning. Ned Stevens is one of them. He uses Wash Safe and Sprays the roof and then rinses it. He is also the local low baller with his day labors and no training. Any of you guys coming across the new approach of roof cleaning in your area's.

Ned Stevens is now up here. I lost a bid the other day $425 to their 225.00. They came up here from Fairfield NJ for the customer(vacation home) who they service in NJ.

The wash safe stuff is a good sales point,..especially to the customers who it matters to,..and are ignorant to the proper method,...but,..all the while these safe guys gain work with false selling points they will impact guys like Art. Our product is also perfectly safe and better for the roof. They are likely rinsing the roof due to the fact that the safe stuff isn't killing the mold,..so they are "rinsing" it at a higher than recommended pressure.

This is one of the many reasons I now keep this EPA document with me and one on the truck. It has already knocked down a naysayer resident at a condo cleaning a few weeks ago when the president of the association sent it to her. I'm glad they aren't around here. So many people are price only.
