Bought a chemical injector to tied me over till I can buy a nice softwash system. But I think I'm wasting house wash detergent.
My house wash calls for 3 onces per gallon and 8 onces of SH. But I don't know how much water is going to be added or how fast it's going draw chemical out of my detergent bucket. I'm confused lol can anyone help me?
The injector does have 1.8 stamped on it. Whatever that means.

Ok,..you really need to do alot of reading and then do some "in the field" stuff at your own house. There is SOOO much to go over here that getting the answers straight out aren't going to help you as much as learning on your own,..simply because you will learn many other things that you don't even have questions to yet.
But here's a little. Using a chemical injector IS soft washing,..that's called downstreaming The mix you describe wouldn't kill mold by DS'ing. You can find alot of information on downstreaming on this and various other boards.
What washer do you have at this point? HP, GPM etc...
There's alot more to doing this than realized,.,many people think,."How hard can it be"

I have 2 machines
First is a Generac 3100psi 2.8 gpm. (Which is what I have to injector hooked up to )
My other is my trailor rig. 16hp Vangaurd motor 4000psi 5.6gpm (which is what I was going to rinse with )

Let the 2.8 GPM at home. The 5.6 is the machine you want to apply soap with and rinse with. The 1.8 indicates orifice size and I think is rated for 2-3 GPM machine,..but this is what you want for pulling through long length of hose,....so,..that injector will work. For example,.I use a 3-5 GPM injector on my 8 GPM for 200' of hose.
Look up soap injector by-pass,.this thing allows you to rinse with the soap nozzle buy simply turning a valve and without the need to shut down.
Also look up chemical remote.
What experience do you have with washing so far?

I'm new to the whole softwash thing. Not much experience at all yet.
We did our first softwash house just yesterday lol
Turned out very nice. Just think my chemical to water ratio is off. Think I'm using to much wash.

Fill a bucket 1/3 S/H and 2/3 water and a slash of Soap. I like PineAllen Max if you can find it.

Jeff is dead on, but bring both machines to site. Sucks when one goes down and you don't have a backup. Every job we do we have 2 of everything. So often chit goes bad and the 2nd pw, pump, whatever keeps you making money or go bust!
That includes 2 of every piece of equipment, relays, hose, pressure switchs's etc.
I always run 2 power washes at the same time, one f'KS up the other one picks up the slack, no lost money. Same with software pumps, 2 always.

Yea we take both when we go to a job. Just got the big one. Still need to hook the buffer tank up to it. So don't use it much unless we're on city water. Was told it would burn the pump up if it was on a well that might not pump enough water to keep up.

Is there a way to test if 12% sh is coming out of the tip?

You need to do some reading and research.

Art is talking about the strength of the SH. What I buy is in 55 gallon drums and is 12.5% strength.
As far as research goes. There isn't really a one stop shop on soft wash info. I recommend Doug Rucker's pressure washing school. I wasn't able to go to Houston, but did the online school and it was really helpful. www.pressurecleaningschool.com/
