All you need is a couple of inches of mix. Don't waste the f13. Go 1/3 and 2/3 water.

I used the instructions on the PressureTek website:
"The black streaks in gutters are in the oxidation layer of the paint. F-13 removes the oxidation and in turn removing the streaks and unlike butyl-based products that when diluted with water lose their strength rapidly, F-13 is effective at dilution ratios of 50-1. F-13 can be used safely at dilution ratios as low as 5-1. 20-1 dilution normally removes the oxidation with light agitation, making F-13 very economical to use. F-13 works best in temperatures above 60 degrees."
I mixed mine close to 20-1 and it worked great, but (thanks Art. Good advice) I mixed too much and after a few days it barely worked. I'll mix smaller batches from now on.

Be very careful with F-13 near glass and plant material and wear PPE. It can burn your eyes and skin quickly not to mention the plant material.

F-13 is one of those products that works for some people and not at all for others. I used it once and found it next to worthless,..it worked,..but not even close to the advertised dilution rates. I had to use it 50/50 to make it work as well as Purple Power,..if even then. Over the years others had the same experiences as I had,.while others claimed it was great? Among others,.. a very well respected contractor who's been around the boards for years and years,..Ken Fenner from Pressure Pros had the same results I had,..I remember him stating my findings the same as his,..and that at 20:1 was like using water. Never could figure out what makes it work for some and not for others. I once posted maybe it was a regional thing,..but that was a stretch.
*I've used Purple Power which is butyl based,.. mixed with water for the last million years and never had an issue with it losing effectiveness,.no matter how long it sits diluted?

I have not used F-13 but I have used many others that make miracle claims with the same results Jeff states. I use to use Purple power but have since gone to Super Clean. It seems to take even less than Purple Power. Both can be dangerous if mixed too strong.

Hey Brett,..Yes,..Castrol Super Clean is a great butyl based cleaner,..and it is stronger than PP. I buy PP due to the deal Advance Auto offers,..and is strong enough for the most part. But I used many gallons of Castrol Super Clean over the years.
The gallon jug I got had no instructions on it.
