Back when I was in I.T. I had built pc's with water cooling systems to overclock cpu's and keep them from melting.
Last night I thought about building something similar to cool 12v pumps especially in the extreme heat we'really having here now.
This morning I realized how easy it would be to use a small bypass from the 12v output thru a heat sink water jacket (possibly also a chill box) to keep pumps working smoothly and extending pump life.
Anyone seen this done before?
I'm gonna do a schematic draw up of a simple design and test it when I have some free time.

I'm at 7k, Move to Suffolk!
I would put aluminum fins on the casing and a 12v mini fan from a computer, maybe 2. Check the heat dissipation.
