My home may flood by Monday and the areas surrounding us are flooding like never before. I just watched a video of a dramatic rescue just down the road from us. You WILL see it on the national news! It was super amazing. A little red convertible car was sinking when a boat with a news crew approached it. Inside was a woman and her dog. David Phung took maters into his own hands. The man used a rod to start a hole then he climbed onto the car and as it sank he ripped the convertible top apart with his bare hands, grabbed the woman's arm and forced her body out of the opening he created. She lives.
Did he stop there.....HELL NO......he went under and came up with the freeking dog!!!!!!

Thanks all..... we are surrounded by flooding and high water but honestly our area is receding. They are saying that as the other areas drain we will go under but I just don't see it....yet.

Best of luck! After hurricane Sandy I borrowed a high volume sludge pump, drained out 3ft of water from a customers moderate sized house in 1/2 hr. If we had it running early on probably could have kept entire basement pretty dry the entire time.
Hope you have some barricades to lessen the damage.
Praying for the best.

People parked their trucks and trailers in the road in front of my driveway.......all three trucks are lost.
Home currently has several feet of water in it and rising. Can't post a video, I'm using my phone to post.
Thanks for the Prayers and keep them coming. The home we are in now is being threatened as well. This is one amazing deal that no one ever expected. Flood waters are everywhere and places you could just never see getting flood water.
My Harley is gone, trucks are gone, house is gone, furniture gone but.....I have a gorgeous wife and she is still with me so all is good!

Part of me is glad to see this post since I didn't here back from you over the weekend. I figured you had your hands full so I left you alone. I am sorry to hear you didn't make it through this flooding. We are here for you Doug. We know you won't ask for anything but there are those times when you might have to. Don't hesitate!

Just a quick update and please forgive me if I don't participate in the forums much for a bit......I'm kinda "flooded" with things to do!
All three trucks went under as did my home and other things needed for business and life. I so appreciate the offers of help and what I need now is a truck or two so that we can get rolling again.
I estimate that we have lost about 80% of the business we have booked through October but I have had clients asking if we will still be able to get their homes cleaned.
This is the third time we have lost everything. The first time I broke my back. The second was when my business partner embezzled and cost us to lose everything we built. Now the flood has crushed us and taken our trucks, clothing and tooth brushes...........I can't and wont stop. Just went commando and started tossing sandbags to help others avoid the same heartache. After three days without brushing my teeth we finally found some kiddie tooth brushes on the self at a small pharmacy and was able to get rid of the nasty mouth syndrome.
My wife and I are resilient and refuse to quit. I am looking at this as a positive and not a negative. I will find a way to rise higher than we have ever been.
Thank you all and God Bless.
