Happy Thanksgiving to all!
This should be a seriously interesting day. Since the flood we live in a travel trailer outside our home.....well, travel trailers have teeny tiny ovens....so....we dug a pit last night, Created a bunch of hot coals, tossed in some lava racks, covered that with banana leaves, wrapped the turkey in foil, covered the bird with banana leaves, then covered it with dirt.
We put the bird in the ground at 7 pm last and plan on pulling it out at noon.

Hank traveled an extra hour to meet us, we only got to talk for about three hours. It definitely would be great to meet and hang out somewhere like a conference room at some hotel. Hanks a cool guy Art and I enjoyed it.

How was the turkey Doug? We used to do those when I lived in Hawaii. It's called an emu. A pigs butt and a couple turkeys. Comes out onolicious.
