So I'm going to pull the trigger on a new skid. I enjoyed building my own systems over the years but I'm just not up for building a new one.
For the guys that have them what would you change if you could build it again.
I know these are awesome skids and they are the best on the market but as they are used during the season there must be somethings that you wished were different.
I'm not going with dual system electric because Im an Air guy

You should go the booster pump route and have 2 12volts as back up. That is what os on mine. My guys love the booster pump now ( hated it on the sws skid). We also put a 5.5 cold water 4000 psi gear driven machine on there as well. And last but not least the pro portioner.
Mike. That's a beautiful rig. I've got a lot of that same equipment (minus the booster) on mine and love it. I think that 5.5/4000 is a great machine.
I've got the smaller skid with proportioner and 2 12 volts...and the pressure washer. I went with smaller tanks due to having a 1/2 ton truck. PWS can make it however you want. One thing I wish is that all my reels were on the side of the truck. My pressure hose comes off the back and my soft wash hose from the side. I've got some ideas for the spring to fix that, but it's too late to get it all built together like Mike's. I have a trac rack ladder rack and my whole skid is in between the wheel wells. Hard to get to some things it's so tight.
