Two blocks from the shop is a city cemetery. From a distance I noticed older head stones so I ventured in one day to find a Confederate memorial, and head stones from every war since then. I made a call and got what appeared to the the head grave digger and offered to clean all military stones. His first reply is we can't do that. I said there is no charge, I just want to clean all military stones for free. Well, now he is listening and said for me to help myself. Here are two I started with yesterday coming back from our last job of the season. They took 20 minutes combined! I would have kept going but I had my helper with me and didn't want to take up his time since he was ok with this test cleaning.
This isn't an atta boy post but one to give you all ideas of what we can do to give back. I know this is not my idea and by no means do I take any credit for such a great idea. I do take credit for cleaning Gy Sgt Lista first!

Great job brett. I wonder if you hit that with some ox acid if that would remove the brown.

Brett try spraying in the rain. See how it comes out. I do some local cleaning on statues and they come out great. I use Tilex this way nobody can bitch about harsh chems.

Either on the news or youtbe I watched an elderly man who is doing every stone in a cemetery, he does like four a day...by hand and scrubbing. The poor guy there is an easier way. Did yoou rinse them or is it just after application?

Yes, I rinse each one. The truck is set up with a fresh water hose which works for the ones close to the truck. When I get in the middle I'll use a pump up for rinsing.
Art, that is a good idea but I don't have that problem here! The rain is a great idea for summer.

I love this stuff. It's all about respecting our Veterans. I am definitely inspired by the volunteer work I see from our members and will be making it a point to do some this season. Great job Brett.

Very good idea. This makes me think of a needy playground, or other not so well off house, as in a local homeless shelter.
