Look on line for 3/16" Alum Diamond Plate. Some vendors have pre cut. Add some 2x2 square tubing to it and you have a skid

Talk to a local welder and price it out. May be much cheaper than prefab from a vendor plus you can customize it but keep simplicity in mind as you'll probably modify your rigs every winter like most lol!

If you look close, some of the skids are bolt together so what Art said.....
Get some aluminum "L" metal, tubing or pipe with some stainless bolts.

Mav our two week winter don't give much time for modifications...lol... but I hear you!
I have "skid envy" and MUST have one...
It's too late for me, I have seen the Diamond Roof Cleaning, Liberty, Cajun, Tennessee Softwash, Tim Aseltons truck...There should be a warning lable on the "show us your truck" thread....SMH...

I thought the skid format would be more useful than it actually is. I can't take it out of the truck without a forklift and even if I did, where would I keep it? It stays in the truck all the time and never moves. So I actually like Art's idea better with the 3/16" diamond plate. Save some money and build your own. Really all it does is give you something to bolt everything too. Now if I had the big skid with tool boxes, ladder racks, and reel mounts...what would be the ticket.

It depends on what you want to do. Having a skid is nice if you have a forklift and want to have the ability to move your rig, if something happens to your truck or any other reason. if you plan on just using one vehicle or staying with a one truck branch or do not have access to a forklift, it might be a pain to manuver. Also, if you mainly softwash and use 12 volts, skids are the way to go, because you do nit need the water buffer capacity for a large GPM PW. We only pressure wash about 15% of the time so it works good for us. I also have a PW trailer we take to large PW jobs if needed. I just order a new SWS skid with a PW and all the trimmings already on it. It really is what your business model is and if you want the ability to move the skids in and out. Our SWS skids have ladder racks so that makes it simple for me. Just my opiNixon.

Thank you Bryan! The plan is to get a nice ladder rack and build a skid around it....I'm gonna incorperate a booster pump in a box like Mike at Diamond has on his truck

Thank you John, I'm not planning on taking the skid in and out of the truck. Having everything on an open trailer is a pain. Taking a loaded trailer through town is even more of a pain...I'm hoping to fit and plumb my 1/2" air pump set up, 4gpm PW, and booster pump in a 6' bed. Ladder racks will hold hose reels, a box will house the booster pump and most of the plumbing...I hope...Your trucks look very nice and your branding is pretty awesome! One day I hope to be able to afford to buy a built skid...Thats the reason we are gonna rebrand our exterior cleaning service

I see the value in a ready made skid. I'd like to have one myself for the back of my 8'bed. I run things more like John where I don't use a pressure washer for much at all. Just flatwork. I need a PW on the truck as well and Paul builds them to be pretty compact and awesome (He builds Erics).
I just had him price mine out and we would be right at $20K. Worth it but with being flooded out and still no where near in my house I just feel I would be about 5K over budget....So, I'm going to go ahead and build another one.
My price was a bit high because of what I wan't/need for my trucks. 4 electric reels, booster pump, 12v pump and an 8 gpm PW. Kinda sucks, I was looking forward to having one built.

I made a table equal height to my truck. I slide my skid on and off by myself and push it into the garage. There's some shopping carts around town with no wheels on them.

We run our pw to rinse and to water down everything. The booster does a majority of the cleaning. We can go from a roof to the house with the booster becuase of the pro portioner. I am converting my old sws to a booster with a 12 volt back up and a pro portioner on it as well. I have a trailer that has an 8gpm cold water and a 5.5 gpm hot water for our bigger flatwork jobs.

If you can find a used gen1 or Gen2 SWS cradle skid, the frames are great platforms to build upon.

Yes Sir, thats kinda what I was looking for. If I run across one I'll pick it up quick fast but for now I'm drawing up plans to build one myself when/if I can slow down enough to do it...lol
Ya'll guys are all so kind to folks that ya'll never met....I am so appreciative to everyone for the support that I have found here
By the way, Mike Howard at L&H is a GREAT guy to work with! I just started getting my cleaning supplies from him and he is just as nice and willing to share his knowledge as you guys are....
Thanks you!
