Here in NH we are in a sever drought. 99% of the homes in NH are on wells and believe or not alot of the town's stepped in and told homeowners no outside watering. Yes my own home is on a well and I told the town they can't tell me what to do with my private well. The watering ban came into effect at the end of the year and really didnt effect business. But town's that supply water out watering bans in place have not lifted them. I'm lucky and my water well has a natural spring a few hundred feet down and never runs out of water so I think I will need a back up plan to truck my own water.

I hope the winter gets you out of the drought! Will you have to get a 500 gal tank on a trailer to take with you and trickle fill over night?

The weather people say we need over 10" of rain to just come out of the drought. The snow usually bails us out of a drought but last winter it hardly snowed. I'm not worried about my own well because when the well driller installed the well he just a natural spring so my well will never go dry. I could fill a water tank every day and wouldn't hurt the well. But after all these years of roof cleaning and house washing I have no idea of how much water I use.
