So I came across this product that has some pretty extensive claims. The first place I saw it was on Craigslist. I contacted the guy through email. He said it is a nano coating, extremely thin with some sort of metal in it. I am going to order a bottle of it to use on my screen enclosure. He claims it blocks algae for minimum of 3 years ( with a guarantee on his website) You spray it on your driveway or your screen enclosure after it has been clean. It is a FL based company. I have some concerns but I am going to try it and see what happens. The guy said it does not peel off after years of wear and said it is such a thin coating you don"t notice it. I am a bit suspicious.
If that's a clear bottle? then the liquid inside looks like Copper Sulfate.

According to the Florida Department of State this business started in April 2016. My question is how can they offer a 3-year warranty when they don't have that much data to support their claim.

I've seen documentation from one of the shingle manufacturer's (or was it ARMA?) that stated clearly no 'coatings' on asphalt shingles. I'm all for capitalism and hope it works none the less.

Its not a roof coating. Its for concrete and screen enclosures. It doesnt say it will work on roofs. I am going to call the company tomorrow and see what I get out of that.

Would you trust your reputation with them is something goes wrong? MSDS sheets? If you apply, will they come and reclean or do they reimburse you? I wouldn't try and reinvent the wheel.

a properly cleaned roof generally lasts more than 3 years. Silly waste of money.

Eric, maybe where you are from your roofs stay clean for 3 years but not down hear in south Florida. Now if its a shingle roof like the one on my house then yes you get about 3 years out of it. 95% of the roofs I clean are barrel tile roofs. I am getting about 2 years out of a cleaning. 40 - 45% SH
