While doing my research and studying the various aspects of soft washing, a particular house I drive past every day, caught my eye. The roof was heavily covered with lichen and golf ball sized moss . I recall thinking,  "I WILL clean THAT roof". 

     Once I got my sea legs under me and felt an adequate amount of confidence, I knocked on the door. After a brief introduction, I asked the elderly, 84yo lady of the house, if I could clean their roof and rid it of all that vegetation lol. 

She said that they were planning on having the roof replaced very soon but thank you very much. I asked what she was quoted for a new roof. Upon her response I asked her, "what if I were able to through my services, postpone that huge expenditure for a few years and do it for approximately 10% of a new roof."?

She went inside, got her husband and returned, saying,  "ok we'll do it." 

They were so pleased afterwards that the husband tracked me down later that afternoon at my home and thanked me again verbally and with a nice tip. 

Those jobs are always the best ones!
