We did some repair work the other day with my lift. im thinking of setting this truck up for soft washing instead of pulling a enclosed trailer.

Make sure you add some ventilation.
I keep thinking of a small lift for the apartments we do but even the used ones have a pretty good price tag.

Brett i bought this lift years ago for about $6000 its hard to find them in good condition for under 10,000. it saves a lot of time and is safer then ladders we use it where and when we can. We up sell services if its worth our time, tree trimming, repair work that is hard for a ladder to access.
Im going to put some ventilation in the back door window, i don't want to cut into the side of the back cab if i don't have to.

Mike,
Trailers have lots of draw-backs. We have moved away from the trailer set up. Great start up, but has some negatives.
Nice Pic of working in the field

Hi Nick
I don't want to pull a trailer but i own a 14 foot Hallmark that i don't want to pull around. Looking at a box/cube truck i want to keep everything inside.

The only real problem with a van like that is the hose reel placement. I looked at getting one but it just didn't work out for us.
Brett, what is the length of your box truck, im looking at a truck with a 11 foot box don't know if that would be to small.

Brett, Nice set-up! Where/What type ladder racks on top of box are you using? I want to move the ladders from inside our box truck and have looked at the pull down type but are way to expensive for me right now (last est. $2300.00) and the side mount deface the wrap. I am concerned about the ability to load/unload/secure from top of box?

I run this on my box truck for hoods and it carries a 32 foot. I am putting one on my flat too.
Those are exactly what I would like to get Eric, however they are really expensive I am sure. Just not in the budget for right now. Do you remember off the top of your head what they ran?

I have looked at these but can't see a way to make them work. The box truck is 11' high and we stack ladders. Any ideas?

Man Brett,.I wouldn't be afraid of making a lower side hanger for your most used ladders,..At least for a step ladder that you could use to get the others from the top. But,.If I were running a box truck or enclosed trailer I'd have something installed on the side,..simply for ease of access. Removing a replacing ladders is the one thing that gets' old over time, and anything to make handling them easier seems to get more important as time goes by. I use a van and a purpose made wash trailer,..so my ladders are on top of the van,..and a 4' step ladder inside the van. I use the tongue of the trailer to help with the reach when removing and replacing ladders.
*I realize you have advertising there..but I'd figure something out for the side,..maybe even hanging them from the bottom of the box,..kinda' like down over the wheels. Right there at hands reach.
**What do you do now,..pull a step ladder from inside the box?

We have access to the top with a permanent ladder on the back with two walk boards and a 1/2" piece of pvc on the ss edge to ease in getting the ladders up and down from the back. We don't carry a step ladder but prefer the three sectional that goes from 8' to 16' which is mounted inside on the wall next to the extra hose.
This would be the best solution for a box truck. it would cover your ad if you loaded the side up with ladders. I think more people would look at the truck with ladders on the side, its not something they see everyday.

Thanks Mike but the billboard is way more important than seeing ladders on the side. We deal with the ladders, it's just always nice to wish for something better.

I saw one that actually hooks the ladders to the bottom, underneath the sides of the box. I have called everywhere and can not find anyone that sells them. I wish I would have stopped and asked the driver. One truck supply shop tells me that they may have been homemade, and from what he said easily done they were really nice , convenient and easily accessible. Plus they did not cover any of the wrap on siding. just have had absolutely no luck finding? And definitely beyond my personal fabrication abilities.
