Just saw this package. Will probably order this. I also believe I can upgrade to a bigger pump if the need arises in the future. Any major issues with this set up I should know about?

I'm sure the deck, bar and swivel are the same on that ultra clean as the classic, but I like the aluminum handle setup on the classic.

I wouldn't count on that sc being anywhere as good as a WW classic.

Reason I say that is that I have a "lil guy" and it looks like that ultra clean. Has the same bar and swivel as my classic. I love the classic though. If you get a 4 or 5 gpm, get the classic two nozzle.

That 18' yellow noodle is a waste. Is that a direct drive pump? If it were my pocket book I would go with a belt driven machine with a general pump. Less chance of cavitation and you can pull from a buffer tank. Yes you'll spend a little more upfront money but can make it back in upsells and time saving on each job. Just my two cents.

Stay away from the GP surface cleaner, Junk

The WW Classic is a very smooth operating machine and does an excellent job. So that's definitely the surface cleaner you want. I know you are considering a 5 GPM machine,..but you'd be so much happier with an 8 or 10. The speed and rinsing power of higher GPM is unmatched. I know money is an issue,.but I still had to throw it out there. I used 4.6 GPM for years and made lots of money with it,..but when I went to the higher GPM machines,..I would never go back.
Do NOT use the surface cleaner on a composite deck,..Composite are easily damaged,..especially if you stop the surface cleaner anywhere,..there'll likely be a circle. Not to mention it's more work than simply applying roof strength SH and rinsing.

Like Jeff said, do not pressure wash that composite. We use anywhere from a strong house mix up to a roof mix to clean them, depending on infestation. The bad ones need a little light scrubbing with a deck brush but that's it. I have three WW classics and a GP I started with.....the GP is kind of a paperweight now. We use the same 5.5 machines Bryan uses from Water Dragon and they work for us. If you plan on doing a ton of pressure washing and a lot of flat work, spend the money on the 8 gpm machine. We don't really use them for more than just moderate flat work, because 85% of my business is softwashing with a 12 volt pump.

Thanks for the input guys. An 8gpm machine is out of the question.
My intentions with the composite decking is to cover alot of ground quicker w low pressure rather than blasting it w high pressure. Plus parts of it are over water and won't be treating it with SH. 20k sf. is alot of decking to do. Mostly bird poop, some algae, and dirt from foot traffic.
Am I able to use surface cleaner with the pressure turned down low on composite type decking? Maybe get certain Nozzles /spray tips for this project? This is also commercial grade decking.

Adjustable wands are nice for changing your pressure on the go.

Without seeing it,..all I can do is give you my experiences. You can likely make it better with just water,..but I know you won't be able to get it totally clean,.just ain't gonna happen,..composite decking is easy to clean with proper method/chemicals. It is impossible to clean totally with just water. Basically just rinsing it.
So,.do a demo for them and tell them that is what they are going to get. Because just water isn't gonna do a thorough job,.I'd also do it in the rain, so what is on there will be softened up some.
I wouldn't use a surface cleaner on composite decking. If the material is more like a real plastic and not composite you could maybe use it? There is one deck I do every year,.it is the best of the "composite" decks I've ever seen. It doesn't fade and is tough as nails, and is more like they ALL should be,..when it comes to fake decking. This stuff would handle PSI and a surface cleaner.
*You said composite decking and that's all we can take it for,..the normal garbage material we all run into, so we're giving advice on that.

I would pass on that Deck, If the DEC comes walking by you will have Big Time trouble and Big time fines. They are the worst to deal with.

IPE can handle a surface cleaner turned turn with a ball valve. I would never touch a composite deck with a surface cleaner.
Get 4010 pressure washer tip which will not mark up the deck and remove the top coating. This tip is what we use on all decking and wood cleaning.

i've got a 5.6 machine and two 8s as my main washers. I prefer the Honda engines over any other. I've been happy with my direct drives. Can't go wrong with a whisper wash classic, however I won't buy them for my crews anymore, since they are abusive.

I built my first surface cleaner. Still use it from time to time. I cut the top off a metal drum, welded angle iron on it to mount swivel wheels and a handle off an old push mower. Installed a whisper wash swivel assembly.

Thank you everyone for your help and suggestions. Ive decided to hold off on purchasing for a lil while longer. There's a lot of points to consider and dont want to rush into it. I can always rent a unit if ineed to for a specific job.
Although this particular decking has been powerwashed (by others) many times in the past I know to trust the experience of you guys and find a alternative method.
Thanks again ERIK B.

i buy the PSI brand SC. The are relatively cheap (275) and are bullet proof. Also has a greasable zert fitting for the swivel, and I can pick them up locally at my one pressure washing dealer.

We have a GP, but Bill Wilson had me change the spinner to a Mosmatic that adapted very easily. Now it acts like a pro! It is 3 or 4 years old and still spins like a helicopter when you let off the trigger. Pretty Cool!
I would not buy another one, but the Mosmatic spinner pretty much upgraded it. We have to keep it weighted with a brick when we run the 8 gpm Water Dragon...
All good though.
We actually have a 24" SC from Powerwashstore, but it seems slower than the smaller one on most residential applications.
Been considering it for a while but the time has come where I have to get a powerwasher and surface cleaner.
Been asked to clean 10k sq ft of composite decking, plus a few thousand sq ft of pavers.
Looking for suggestions on 5gpm machine and SC that will not break the bank. Need to purchase immediately. Thanks in advance for any suggestions
