I have never had ladders whistle while driving. I have had ladders on top of my trucks since 1988 and i have never had them whistle or make any noise. However my ladders i have used for the last few years now want to start whistling and making noise. My son complained about it last year near the end of the season and I said I would find a fix.

Great idea,
only prob is some ladder brackets go in the ends.
But only abt 10", so im gonna try sticking a shorter piece of 1" foam backer rod to fill the middle only and see if that works.
Less messy and removable.
Good find!

I can't put the PVC on my ladder rack because it is square aluminum.

Great idea and I thought about it but I store my ladder stand offs on the ladder and if I flipped them upside down they would hit the roof. But it is a great idea

I used a muffler clamp and it was on till I sold it (4 yrs) and it slid on and off easy.
Your just lucky to have happy ladders
