So I have recently come across a "New Roof Cleaner" in our area. His whole marketing strategy is : NO SH..None, zero, zilch. Results are 20-30 minutes rather than 6-8 weeks,And not only does he NOT use SH he speaks negativity about using throughout his website, stating they use 'only safe bio-degradable products." I have not seen this strategy here or anywhere? Is anyone familiar with Non-SH Products that clean roofs successfully and is CLEANED in 20-30 minutes?

Sounds like roof ox and power washing with a surface cleaner. Just roll with your process and educate your customers and youll be golden.

He states they use only LOW pressure? Maybe PW but doesn't sound like?

He is lying, but low pressure could technically be 5000 psi (compared to 50,000 psi).
Like the guys said above, he is just pressure washing and it's pretty common. Just educate, maybe bust out the old school ARMA Bulletin that proves our method is what is supposed to be used.

Don't worry about him. There's plenty of roofs to clean and let him sell his process. Just sell your process and inform the customer about a proper roof Cleaning and also remember to not bad mouth his process. Let him look like an a$$ by bad mouthing everyone else's process. Just focus on your business

Thanks guys, great advice! I am not actually worried about them, its just I hate when "New' guys come around and right off the bat start bad mouthing our process. just adds one more hurdle to overcome when there is a "professional?" stating SH is BAD news.... I like Brian's advice, thanks. We are laser focused on our business but am still aware of our "surroundings" at all times. Its funny , he was also bashing (on his web page) anything "certified" in roof cleaning, stating it is worthless...While that is a whole other topic certifications are what you make of them. I would never bash anyone for valuable learning, experience and education.

Not only sell yourself and your process but also sell that bad ass skid you have .. Equipment does matter when a customer is making a decision.

I always say, "We never use a pressure washer on your roof. period." These no bleach guys can't say that. It's the pressure that damages the roof.

Bryan
That is short message and to the point. I'm going to incorporate that phrase into my sales pitch

Guys in my area say that Bryan, they straight out lie. That's one reason why I never use anything besides 12 volt for roof cleaning. We never use gas engines on someones property unless we are cleaning a patio or a deck. Period. (Not saying it's the right way, it's just our way)

I also think is is a good idea to help the Customer understand the difference in the description of Pressure Washing and the Non pressure because even guys are pushing Safe low pressure washing on the roof.

I coined the phrase "science over pressure" I use that often in my sales process.
