How many of you adjust the pressure switch in your 12 volt pumps (to stop cycling)? Do you find it affects the life of the pump by changing it? I will never use an accumulator again and I will never switch to an air setup.
I use 20 orifice tips to keep the flow low and want to get the best longevity out of the pumps.
I won't use Air because it just adds another piece of gear to the rigs. I won't use an accumulator because they just end up leaking.

You need a small Allen wrenches to adjust it. I only use 12v the 1st year and hated those electric pumps. Air is the best for Roof Cleaning and I'm having Air added to our newest skid build. If your going to stay with 12volt just keep extras on the truck.

Air or booster. 12 volts are good for back ups. And yes the eagles are the world champs dont be mad becuase we beat your cheating patriots. Haha...

12v is cheap enough to have 2of them on the truck and wired up and hooked up ( Back up).

I run a Fat Boy and have a 5850 hooked up and ready to go when needed

Thanks guys, I was just concerned about messing the pump up by adjusting the screw. I did it towards the end of last year after removing those junky accumulators.
Mike I'm happy when other teams win. It's all good! (we gotta let the little teams have a freebie on occasion)

I think I read some we're that the power wash store 12volts are better that the 5850 or the Fatboys. There is something that Paul has put in them to make them more reliable and last better with being used with SH

I heard they had Flo-Jet make them with different seals. They are the 70psi/6gpm versijet rebranded for powerwash store.

I recommend that you adjust the screw with no pressure in the line . They tend to strip out.

Like Mario said, they may need adjustment as they break in. The cycle will tell ya when they need adjustment.

I hadn't thought of doing it with no pressure. I'll try that.

Zach we use these on the everflo pumps and other pumps.
9-50V 40A DC Motor Speed Control PWM HHO Controller 12V 24V 48V 2000W MAX.
They allow us to adjust the output from the pump. We often brush the chemicals onto walls using telescopic poles and these allow us to turn the output way down.
Basically you can adjust the speed of the pump by turning the control knob up or down.
This will allow you to set the flow and the pressure independently of each other. Similar to the window cleaning controller but higher amp setting.
I put one in our new van but I haven't got the van on the road yet so I don't know how well it will work. I also had to bypass the pressure switch to get it to work.

Meant to say put the first one into ebay and it should come up. They are very cheap.

I always adjust pretty much as Mario stated. I use 30's and then if we need 40's it doesn't change anything. No difference in life but I've been adjusting them since almost day one.

I get them from Bob ad leave them alone. I didn't watch football this year because of the kneeling. But I did watch the super bowl because of the food and I have to say I have never seen so many great catches in a game before.

I pretty much do what you do Zach. Sometimes we need bigger orifices for large volume jobs. I have air set up as well but prefer the 12 volt most of the time.
Ok so... I’m Warriors fan... Anyone?

The problem with that is you pay much more than PWMall and by adjusting a FatBoy, you can increase the pressure and increase your distance while also "fine tuning" so it doesn't cycle. The FB can be turned up to as high as 150. I use to set ours around 100 - 120, wherever the cycling would stop with 30's on the gun.

I get the air thing Eric but everyone doesn't have room for air. The compressor takes up a large footprint! The only way I was able to add the booster is we had just enough room for a small footprint generator. Now we can't add anything... done with changing.

I will never use Air, I get that is is more flexible and powerful. I don't need that, 12 volt is simple and great for employees. If there is an issue I want them to be able to figure it out quick.

There is no ajusting air and yes the room is always an issue. Air never breaks down and if an employee can't start a compressor with a turn off the key then I would wonder about there skill level. Electric doesn't require alot of room and that is a big factor in decision making. I have used Fatboy , All-flo and now Booster pump and I can honestly say that the Air is the best as far as reliable and durability. Bigger trucks aren't always the answer but trying to fit everything in a1/2 to short bed is not a good business plan. I will have All 3 systems in my new skid but each system is dedicated to a specific service.
