For the past years we were using Erie for our workers comp. We had a total overhaul with our insurance this year and while doing that, I asked the agent if we can get two rates since we do more work from the ground while we had been paying the higher rate for ladder work. He worked it out for us so we added a new column on the time card for above ground work. Doing this we only pay for the people who are on a ladder and safe $2.00 on our rate. Once the time sheets come in the above ground for that employee is tracked on a spread sheet. I will find out when we get our audit how much it helps. My guess is that it will be a substantial savings!

Check with your agent. He should be able to make this work. If not, it's time to shop!
