I've been toying with this all summer. I'm not spending big bucks. Just 10 bucks at a shot here and there. Some photos have words on them , some don't. I haven't got chit from this thing. How are you guys doing with this thing. Have you gotten any leads?

I use to use FB Boosts a lot, 20 - 25 per boost. Never an issue for about two years and then one day they rejected my boost. I kept asking why but was only referred to the rules which had no answer. They cut off communication so I stopped boosting. There is no way to get in touch with FB so I sent snail mail and of course, no reply. I will not give them one more dollar until they answer my questions.
Ok, on to the answer to your post. I never used it to get anything but more for branding. It works in that respect like subliminal advertising does. When you think about it, 10 - 20 dollars isn't much.

We have never tried to boost a Facebook post. However, we have a lot of local Facebook pages for various areas here in the Poconos and by sharing on those pages we have secured over $8400 worth of work.

IMO, Facebook is good for exposure, but Adwords is better for leads. I ran ads to get more local (must be local) likes and when I got up to 500 likes I started running cheap boosts to those who already like my page. "those who like your page and their friends" usually. I still run them to zip codes sometimes, but they don't seem effective.
