Just a few days ago we were informed by Hank's daughter Jillian, that Hank had a hemorrhagic stroke. This morning the exterior cleaning community is waking to the sad news from his brother Jon, that Hank passed away last night.
Hank was a founding member of the National Soft Wash Alliance. He was proud of the forum and what it became. He was always one of the first to post and willing to help the new person who needed help with something soft wash or pressure washing related.
This post is dedicated the our friend Hank Timmerman, a place for us to post our memories of a fine and giving man.
May you rest in peace Hank. We will miss you, your friendship and genuine kindness.

Hank was always a class act. When I started in this business I met him at Colm's shop for that cold ass show he had in March of 2013. Hank shook my hand and said welcome to the business, call me if you need anything. He was the first person to do so. He always had a smile on his face and a smoke ready to light. I don't really follow to many groups or post much anymore, as I just feel it is the same info over and over, but I felt the need to say this. Our industry needs more nice, regular and just hard working guys like Hank. With all the people trying to make a million dollars being Facebook gurus and everything else, he was a welcomed Hello and nice conversation about fishing or anything, every time I saw him at an event. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and I hope they push on just like Hank would have.

I first met Hank Through the RCIA and he would always be on the forum in the early am(Approximately 5am). When your on the forum you can always see who was logged in and Hank was always there doing promotional posts and as soon as I logged in my message box would have a message in it. It was Hank saying good morning Brian. Hank was always nice to talk to and would always answer the phone when I called. He was a very smart man and would always have an answer to what ever question I would ask. I few years back I received a phone call and it was Hank. He was calling me because he had noticed I was not on the forums as much and he was checking on me. Well his phone call came at a good time because my daughter , who battles with depression had tried to commit suicide and I was struggling mentally and emotionally. I will always be grateful for Hank and that he reached out to me at that tough time in my life. One of the things I will also miss is Hank always supporting our Facebook posts and liking them and sharing them. Hank was one of the most prolific writers and if you go back to the forum's just read his posts and see for yourself how well they are written. Hank went out of his way years ago to help me with my promotional posts on the forum. He would send me a message or call me to let me know I should add or change something to maximize my SEO. I will surely miss him but Im privileged to have had great conversations and the memories of the early morning posts and countless conversations. RIP Hank this world has lost a good man..

I can't remember when I first "met" Hank. I'm sure it was RCIA back in the days when we were afraid to ask questions.
Once I joined the new NSWA forum, Hank and I began to communicate a lot, always having something to share with each other. In no time, we found that we had a lot in common. The big one was being single dads and raising children on our own. Hank and I would talk for well over an hour at times. Everything from shop to family. We both liked building our own systems and learned the same way, looking at what others were doing and either duplicate it or perfect it.
Four years ago I met Hank at the Bethlehem, PA event and really got to know him since we spent a lot of the weekend together.
Three years ago we wanted to get the NSWA together in PA for nothing more than round table talks and finally meeting the people we interacted with in forums, just before all the Facebook groups took over. Only three of us were able to make it and Hank brought the light of his life, Jillian. I had talked to her on the phone but never met her. What a nice young lady!
We spent that weekend with Steve Salley, looking at each others rigs, seeing what we could do to ours from what the others did. Sitting for hours indoors (it was winter) and learning about the systems we were using and what did and didn't work. A great weekend for all of us while Jill spent a good bit of her time in the indoor pool.
Last year we went to the Power Wash Store event in Orlando and shared a room. We pretty much did the same things throughout the show. The only difference is I drink, he doesn't. He smokes, I don't. I was looking forward to seeing Hank somewhere this winter, even if it meant going to his home in PA. Well... I will miss him and so will a lot of other people.
Hank Timmerman... one of the kindest people, ready to help anyone.

Just jumping on for the first time in a while. Really sorry to hear this about Hank. He was of the normal, relatable type guys on the forums and I always enjoyed communicating with him.

When Hank joined us I remembered him saying this industry allowed him a living opportunity he hadn't had before.
He worked hard and became a leader and great inspiration for the rest of us.
I wish I had an opportunity to meet him.
Will be greatly missed.

SO sad to to hear about this. I met Hank through the RCIA and was able to send him a referral from one of our property manager's parent's house in the Poconos. I think it turned into a regular account for him. On of the things that impressed me the most about Hank was his handling of the referral. He gave me updates when customer was contacted, when the job was scheduled, and when the job was completed. He really went overboard with the communication and service, I really appreciated his professionalism.

Ive Known Hank Since 2009 from the old RCIA days. We usually helped each other out over the years since then thru telephone. I too first met hank in person in 2013 at Colm's Place on that cold day in March. Hank Was Always a positive Dude and Genuinely you could see he was a good person. Most recently he came down to my shop in 2018 on a cold day in January and we hung out all day then went to lunch and talked shop and life.
The last time I saw him was this past January in Florida at the pws event. He drove down to my house so we could get a flight out of Atlantic city. It was Hanks first time on a plane. We hung out for three days and we all had a good time.
I will miss him and I will miss our conversations we used to have.
Rest in peace Buddy...I always Considered you a friend for life.

Like Jeff, I haven't been on for some time. I was saddened to read about Hank's death. While I didn't know him personally I felt as if I did from his many posts and he came across as being a really nice guy. I just want to offer my condolences to his family and to all the members on here that knew him personally. RIP Hank

For those who are not up with FB...
Update on Hank Timmermann:
Jillian said they want to wait until after all the holidays to have services for Hank. Maybe around his birthday.
This has been difficult for Jillian with so many changes so quickly, trying to get the business in order and make sure she gets the payments due. Thank you Thomas Vogel for your help!
