White painters pants get filthy fast and cost way more than Khaki poly blend from Goodwill at $3.00 a pair.

painter paints are cotton and bleach destroys them.

When I wore uniform pants, the Dickes were the best there is for bleach use. I always wore navy blue pants. They not only dont discolor from the bleach, but they also seem bulletproof to getting holes.

I've never cared about bleach stains on clothes and stuff. We ARE trying to clean our act up. I wont allow anything but a uniform shirt now, 100% poly. The pants have to be khaki. This year we are going to try poly pants. No tennis shoes. And Everybody wears company hats.

My choice pants these days are Grundens Weather Watch. They are bleach proof,..light and come in really pretty blue!! They are very tough for the weight. I have yet to get a tear.
*They have kind of a weird trait?? In the Summer,..at the end of a job,..my legs are often wet,..could be sweat,.or could be they allow water to permeate. Which is not a big deal,..because it's not soaking,..boot filling water.
But the really odd thing is,..ONLY water comes through,..no chemicals at all. Must be a molecular thing. Because as we all know,...the chemicals we often use will irritate skin.

I just started wearing Dickies navy work pant after destroying countless pairs of Jean's. I'm not happy that I look like a mechanic but they are holding up great to bleach and looks a lil better then bleached jeans.

I remember well. It's good to know you are getting away from bleached jeans!
We wear non wicking shirts, logo front. Big logo in the back with other info. After a few comments, I'm going to look at Dickie khakis, especially since Art thinks everything at Goodwill comes from dead people.

Last season I switched to Red Kap,...a lighter, nicer overall pants and are a few bucks cheaper. Also use the shirts,..extremely light,..pants and shirts dry very quickly.

I bought a better grade of Dickies pants last year. Never again, They were like wearing canvas.
I've been wearing Levis 502 cargo pants for the past year for work.
very comfortable and a cotton/poly blend.
but sodium hypochlorite has discolored them.
hoping a white poly only pants will stand up to "bleach"
