I'm done with Brass and Steal Quick connects and plugs. I've been buying a few Stainless Plugs and Connectors at a time. I think all my the brass are done and gone. I'm not dealing with them anymore! I'm getting some good price's from KEC on the Legacy fittings. They seem to be working out good.

Art I've been trying different ones for a while now. Brass or stainless hold up well it's that little spring that doesn't last and gives me problems. Everytime I have a bad coupler it's because of that spring rotting out.
As usual I just buy extras of stuff and replace as needed

The Brass couplers always jam on me, SS works out better and last longer

I've even used the ones from Depot in a pinch and left em on there for a bit.

I find after rinsing well, I grease with wd40 or lithium grease couplings and keep tips in can of wd40 to slow down corrosion.
there are various SH resistant alloys that they probably have fittings for but maybe too cost prohibite just need to inquire most on.
I agree with Mav... when we finish a job, the quick connect gets pulled back and we spray the balls and spring. We do not replace quick connects but a few times a year. Sometimes they last an entire season. We use SS fittings from Russ. We get some kind of spry lubricant from our local supplier that we have been using for about eight years now.
