I use these types of clamps on all my hoses. They are easy to use ,strong, clamp down tighter than those clamps. These pinch clamps are used in irrigation but come in all different sizes 1/2 " to 1-1/2". I like to keep them in my tool box for quick fixes . Also when dealing with vacuum rated hose it is best to not heat the pipe with a torch. I do keep a small butane torch for quick fixes but the best way to heat the pipe is with boiling water and if you don't like boiling water a small electric heat gun also works good. If I have a break or leak I can do a quick fix with the torch and pinch clamps and shazam I'm back up and running. When I get back to my garage I get a small pot of water and small camper stove and boil the water get the vacum rated pipe soft and I oil up the fitting to help the pipe slide on and then quickly clamp the hose down. These clamps really go down tight and I double up on them and be sure to put one clamp on at 12 o'clock and one at 3 o'clock this will pull the pipe down tight in two directions making a better seal. One last point, heating the pipe with a torch melt its properties and will make it crack down the road, boiling hot water is the best.
