Does anyone use camlocks anywhere on their roof mix setup? Just wondering how they hold up against hypo and are they leak proof at lower pressures? I hate leaks! I think the poly body will be fine, and I don't think the steel locking levers are in contact with the flowing liquid.

Any input appreciated!

Jeff

I use them a they have worked well. The metal will get stiffer with time but they still work.

Thanks Andy, I have a bunch laying around from years ago when I used to use garden hose for roof cleaning hose,..didn't really use them that long to get an idea of their longevity. Although they are a little tight, overall they're in good shape and well worth using. It's not like I will be connecting/disconnecting very often anyhow. But nice when the need does happen.

Jeff, I have been using the Banjo brand cam locks for a few years now with no issues leaking at all. I thought the gasket would need replaced often but found it holds up pretty good. The locking levers may get a little rusty, although I keep everything oiled regularly so that's not really an issue either.

Hey Barry, thanks,..I should probably replace the gaskets. I painted mine years ago and that kept the levers in good shape overall.

The composites work well, the aluminum, not so much!
