When I first started I used other products to lubricate my QC and some still failed. Then I tried Magic Lube. Great product and no failures over two years. A dab will do ya.

I found it at a local pool supply company but I'm sure you can buy it on line.

Hey Hank, I bet it probably does work well,..BUT,..I prefer something I can spray,Ha,Ha,..seems lazy I know.

I remember a long time ago when my couplers would get rough to use and no matter what I used it didn't help. Well, the real issue was using regular steel plugs,..these plugs will eventually get a ridge around them and make the coupler work hard,..so then I would delicately grind the edge down,..and that solved the problem. This issue only occurs when using high pressure(Concrete cleaning,Surface Cleaner),..the little steel bearings in the coupler squeeze against the steel and "ridge" it up. I now use stainless,..the issue is now non existent.

I am with Jeff on the spray.

I keep a spray can of some kind of lube on the truck and spray them when then get rusty.

Yes I know exactly what you mean about the ridge...I take a vise grip and loosely clamp the fitting and twist it back and forth to file the ridge down. That's been my solution, takes just a minute and done.

I should try stainless fittings sometime, I guess I am too cheap! LOL

Hey Jay, never thought of the Vise-Grip idea,..good idea! Yea, the stainless is just a harder material and it solved the issue.
