Greetings Contractors

I just got off a long call with Art, explaining the who what and how...and asked if we could share this with the forum.

Contractor Hosting is going on two years old and has hosted over 450 WordPress websites. Up to this point, we were a private host, supporting clients of our web design and SEO. In that time, we've honed and polished our server specifically for WordPress.

Starting tomorrow, we'll be opening our server to all contractors.

We only offer "managed" WordPress hosting...which means, all the technical aspects are handled by us. All you have to do is manage content. We take care of updates (core, theme and plugins), conflicts if they arise, security of the facing side as well as the core, speed optimization, daily backups and many other features. Annual and Biannual accounts also get a development site (a clone to make changes) and a Ghost Blog. All members get special discounts for any other services like theme templates and custom sliders.

Our security is Fort Knox grade...we are so confident that if you are ever hacked or infected, we fix it for free. We have Google PageSpeed built into the server but still personally and manually tweak each site for optimum speed, cutting some sites load times by as much as 70%

It's like buying a hosting package and getting a webmaster.

It does cost a bit more than general hosting but it's cheaper than other managed WordPress hosts. We can offer it for less and provide more features because we only host contractors. Our annual hosting fee is $23 and the biannual is $20.

We are still fronting the landing page today but I wanted to introduce it to the members here in advance of the launch.

My personal sites get neglected a lot...just to busy sometimes to attend to them with the same details I attend to client sites.

My roof cleaning site has been under a continuous assault for three days. It was added to the server in early 2012 and I haven't added any site specific security, in other words, it's only protection has been the server side protection.

Just to give you an idea of how hardened our server is.....They've tried brute force attacks, injection, sign-in, ftp, shell, etc

 

Here's just today's hack attempts from the server logs...

We get that all day long here on the forum. I must have banned a couple of 100 IP's and emails. They have nothing better to do. Not one has got in yet!

That was a server side log from CSF/LFD, not from a site. Likely, only your host see's system hack attempts. This is a layer beyond an individual hosting account.

 I'm a bit reluctant to post your forum discount code in the open as you suggested...For other sites, I've given it to an admin so that nonmembers can't grab the discount.
