I guess depending on how high this seems to be quite a bit time consuming and not sure how cost effective this process can be.

Ray you have done some tall structures,, your input would be very interesting to read.

I saw this video the other day also! seems time consuming as you said, why not softwash it? maybe to keep all the windows clean but who knows..

Although soft washing would be more efficient there might be a reason they are only using those pw/surface cleaners. I might be mistaken but this company services B.V.I.. It could be a case that the laws there are structured differently. In addition there are fresh air vents at the top of that building. The SH odor could be drawn into either equipment on the roof or circulated through the building, which is not good.

For the life of me I have no idea why they are doing it that way! First off, I would use either a lift or a swing stage rather than bosun chairs. Second off, I would use a Softwash rather than just pressure. If every inch of that surface isn't done, your gonna see marks when it dries.

Like Hank said, much be some code that prevents them from using chems. That way just looks horrible , from the workers perspective, for a liability perspective, mad for a time perspective.

It looks like a train wreck to me,, there is zero consistency in the use of the dinner plate surface cleaner, looks unprofessional and as Ray mentioned it will be spotty and incomplete.. what I thought was the funniest part was the guy swinging in for another quick run,,, swipe,swipe,, swing out,, swing in ,, swipe ,swipe.. oops missed a spot...swipe..
I figure if anything for you Ray, comparing your company and softwashing procedures ,, you would trump the "steam clean" method any day of the week, including dealing with the intake vents as Hank noted.
Much respect to ya Ray.

Most cleaning companies cannot offer services in high rise buildings to clients due to the fact that they are a truck mounted unit and their hoses will not reach.
