I've got a hotsy pressure washer machine. Pump is bad. I believe that pump is a 1725 rpm 4.5 gall/minute machine, but sticker is faded. Has honda gx630 motor.

Just got a legacy 5.6 pump that runs at 1450 rpm. If I stick that on the hotsy what happens? A rip in the time space continuum? Will I cause all life to suddenly vanish? Will I screw up the new pump and or possibly the hotsy?

I actually know very little about commercial grade pressure washers!

Certainly not the expert but after talking to my Landa repair shop this winter concerning a few things, one similar...

You have no clue what the RPM's are on the motor at full throttle while running, maybe you can find out. Don't run the PW at full throttle. Also get a liquid filled in line pressure gauge. You might find the pressure you need is much lower RPM than you thought. I run mine just above idle and have plenty of pressure.

Ray you should change the pulley diameters so it will run at 1450 rpm. If your hotsy is a 12 volt burner you will kill the ignitor if you don't run full throttle when the burner is on. but I ran 1450 rpm ts2021's at 1700 rpm for years before the high gpm pumps were available never had a problem. actually had a little more flow according to my gauges.
