Facebook is very good for pay per clicks. All of it depends on how good your ads are. The better the ad, the cheaper per click. Here's a screen shot of my best performing ad. Notice how much per click.

I frequently receive free Adword points from Google in the mail. "If you spend $50 you can redeem the $100 coupon". Ed what is your return on investment?

Im pretty sure that is a one time redeemable coupon for new customers Dave. (and it goes fast)

I committed to at least learning the basics. I think it paid off. Especially the way you can turn it on and off, open and close your territory, check your stats. Sometimes its fun.

I had advertised with Google and Facebook years ago. I quit because they were confusing and because Facebook was involved in click fraud at that time (yes....they were).

Anyhow, below is one day on Google. My max bid was $2.50 per click for that category. I received 2 clicks and was charged $8.78

Not only that but this same person clicked on my ads several times.....which I do not mind at all if they hire us but there should be a point where Google stops charging when the same person clicks over and over. Truthfully I would not mind paying $20 per click if the person then purchased.

All in all I also think we need to look beyond the clicks. If you get ten clicks and no purchase (or at least a phone call) then you need to look at the web page and not the ad.

What I mean is that your web page just is not engaging the buyer enough to call you......

We "ran" an adwords campaign for three months with no measurable results. I'll be the first to admit that it confuses the hell out of me. Our budget "$20 per day" was somewhat limited. Not one of our customers found us through the adwords campaign. If I'm reading the matrix correctly we were getting 16 clicks per day. It would make decision making easier if there was a way of finding out where these clicks are coming from.

We've suspended the account for now but I might return to it if I can figure it out.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Have used google adwords, but there is a company in my area that likes to click on my add to run up the cost.

Don't run adwords. Did in the past, but local new company clicked it to death. This year most of our work is from referrals from customers we have had over the last 5 years.
